We invite the young and the young-at-heart to Enjoy and be entertained by the timeless, magical dream-world of the enchanting Nutcracker. Our annual production is becoming a tradition For New Bern and the surrounding area and we've added a Saturday evening performance this year! NBBCo's Artistic Director, Laura Karmi, has created a unique, narrated, children's version performed by New Bern Ballet students ages 4 and up. NBBCo's production is Performed with Tchaikovsky's perennially popular music and draws on the original choreography created by Marius Petipa with influences from The Ballet Russe, the Royal Danish Ballet, Ballet Canadian and of course, George Balanchine’s New York City Ballet. Come and sit back, let your imagination take you back in time, and enjoy a wondrous Story performed by our youthful Ballet company.
