About the Performance
We cordially invite you to the culminating performance for our 2011/12 performance season - Swan Lake. Our production is a 90 minute narrated version of the classic love story intended for children and adults. This is the first year that NBBCo will perform our Spring Showcase piece for the community - Our Spring Showcase is performed by the entire NBB school and is for students and families only. Spring Showcase is the annual NBB event celebrating the end of the school year and "Showcasing" what our dancers have learned. In years past our company dancers and families have said 'what a shame' it was that we did not have an opportunity for the community at large to see our Showcase piece. We are pleased to make a community performance of our school's Showcase production a reality this year. We look forward to our students sharing their art and entertaining our community..
About NBBCo
NBBCo is the performance company associated with New Bern Ballet. The company provides an opportunity for NBB students to extend their education and skills beyond the classroom and share their art with our community. Auditions are held in August for NBB students wanting to participate in the company. Company members rehearse outside of their regular class times throughout the year. Performing several times during the year, company members strive for higher levels of achievement and fulfillment.
